vascular birthmarks
Birthmarks generally appear after one has been born and can show up anywhere on the skin or body. When this particular type of birthmark appears it is usually within the first month after being born. This type of birthmark is not hereditary like some other forms of birthmarks. Port wine stain birthmarks are another form of vascular birthmarks that are not hereditary as well. This birthmark earned its name from the color of the birthmark itself, which is the color of port wine of course. Most people just think of it as a mole and not a birthmark. With some birthmarks, especially moles, your doctor may choose to keep a close eye on it once or twice a year with examinations to check on any color or shape changes with the birthmarks/moles that could raise some concern. Now for some birthmarks there is a diagnosis for laser treatments available to help reduce the appearance of birthmarks such as the port wine stain. vascular birthmarks
